Guruji today we will describe how to repair and recover a corrupted memory
card, It can be scary moment when your memory card and Pen drive shows an error (inserted
memory card/Pen drive is corrupted), Take a breath because your data may not be lost,
however. It can be retrieve if you have a computer and memory card reader, because
there is much software which can repair your corrupted memory card/;Pen drive.
Recover your data from Memory card and Pen drive
1. Download and install any data recovery program. First thing
when you face this problem think to recover your important files first. There is
much software in market to recover your data. PhotoRec is a great recovery tool, this is command prompt based
software which is free approx all operating system, But there is no graphical
interface, which can be difficult to use. Find your comfortable data recovery
program with compatible price and features.
2. Insert the Memory card/Pen drive into card reader.(RECOMMENDED USB
card reader) and connect your card reader to USB port.
3. Launch the desired data recovery program. Select Scan to
recover files for your data recovery program and recover all files from your damaged/
corrupted memory card.
Method 2
Repairing a Memory Card/Pen drive on Windows
1. Insert the memory card into card reader.(RECOMMENDED USB
card reader) and connect your card reader to USB port.
2. Go to Computer’s desktop, and click My Computer. Type My Computer
into the start search box if you cannot find it on your desktop.
3. Your memory card can be found Removable Storage (In win 8
there are Devices and drives). It can be found like ‘Removable Disk (F :)’.
Remember this device name, it will be need ahead.

If you forgot disk name so don’t worry go again
to my computer/ this pc note that before continuing.
4. To launch Command Prompt. Press Win+R to launch
the Run dialog. Type cmd and click OK.
5. Launch Check Disk
fix and recover. On Cmd Prompt type chkdsk f: /r, (F: is drive letter of card),
and press Enter to start.

Check Disk may ask for your input process is
generated. When this shows answer ‘Yes’ and press enter to continue ahead.
Method 3
Repair a Memory Card
on Mac OS
1. Insert the memory card into card reader.(RECOMMENDED USB
card reader) and connect your card reader to USB port.
2. Launch Disk Utility on your Mac OS. Disk Utility is part
of MAC OS which manage disk management. To launch Disk utility Go to your
Finder menu and select Disk Utilities and You can find by
press ⇧ Shift+⌘ (Command + U).
3. Find your memory card/Pen drive in drives. If you do not
know which your memory card/Pen drive is, remove and insert it to it will show
pop-up.
4. In the Disk utility there is First Aid tab, make check the ‘Show details’
box, and click on Repair Disk. If Disk Utility shows any error, so retry this
process until its error ends ‘The volume appears should be OK’.

If Repair Disk can’t be clicked, you have to Verify
Disk first.
